Software Engineer (GitHub Contributor)
Newmicro1 is hiring software engineers with visible open source contributions (GitHub, ideally C++, Python, Java, Go, TypeScript or Rust) to build reproducible reinforcement learning environments that test an AI model's ability to fix code, add features, refactor and optimize performance, including a golden reference solution for each problem. 100 openings, anywhere in the world, remote. About 15 hours per task run. No GitHub profile? You will take a HackerRank assessment instead.
What they look for:
- Strong backend experience in Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python, C++ or similar
- A track record building scalable services and APIs
- Comfort with debugging, performance work and automated testing
- Solid code review instincts
Process:
1. Apply and answer the screening questions
2. AI interview (about 20 minutes)
3. Technical assessment (if your GitHub does not fully show the required expertise)
4. Hiring manager review
Interviews and assessments must be completed on your own, without AI assistants. Compensation is output-based (paid per task meeting specifications) with a weekly minimum. Roles are typically filled within 48 hours and work starts 24–48 hours after onboarding.
