About the project

Mercor's Agentic-MME project tests whether AI models can investigate images rather than simply view them. Tasks require image operations such as cropping, rotating or enhancing a small or degraded detail, followed by web research and cross-checking evidence.

What you will do

• Test frontier AI models on high-resolution images and build tasks around details they miss.
• Write realistic prompts requiring image work and at least one web search.
• Record the shortest solution path step by step, including image operations and credible sources.
• Provide one exact golden answer, a clear answer format and accepted variants.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills.
• Strong web research skills, using primary and authoritative sources.
• An advanced degree.
• Experience working on rubrics is helpful but not required.

Contract and payment

• $60 per hour; independent contractor, fully remote and on your own schedule.
• Weekly payments through Stripe or Wise for services rendered.
• Projects may be extended, shortened or concluded early based on needs and performance.
• Mercor cannot support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates for this role.
• Work does not involve confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client or institution.
