Mercor is hiring experienced musicians to evaluate generative musical AI models in partnership with a leading AI lab. You will assess model outputs across different categories of music in your bilingual language.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate AI model output: lyrics, voice generation, and other standards
• Score the quality of musical training data
• Write music in the domain language listed in the title
• Understand directions in English
• Rate AI-generated music samples head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality, using audio-engineering terminology
• Annotate songs in detail: genre/sub-genre classification, song structure, vocal/instrumental characteristics via a structured taxonomy

Ideal qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, and/or sound mixer
• Evidence of understanding musical performance, theory, and lyrics
• College degree in music, involving performance, theory, and lyrics
• Past experience writing lyrical music in Swedish
• Native or near-native proficiency in both Swedish and English

Project timeline

• Start date: immediate
• Duration: up to 6 months
• Commitment: part-time, 10+ hours per week
