Mercor is seeking detail-oriented annotators to contribute to a high-impact video AI research project with a leading lab. In each task you watch two short video clips side by side, compare them against a provided rubric, and score them. This is a short-term, flexible opportunity for professionals with strong academic backgrounds and a knack for instructional clarity.
Job details
- Evaluate paired video outputs: watch two short clips side by side and compare them against a rubric across dimensions such as prompt adherence, motion quality, visual artifacts and physical plausibility.
- Score and justify preferences: assign rubric scores to each clip, select an overall preference and document a brief written justification where prompted.
- Maintain scoring consistency: apply the same standard across high task volumes so judgments stay reliable and comparable throughout a production run.
Minimum qualifications
- BS or BA from a reputable institution, completed or in progress
- Strong writing and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in teaching or research

Contract and payment terms
You will be engaged as an independent contractor. Fully remote and completed on your own schedule. Projects can be extended, shortened or concluded early depending on needs and performance. Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client or institution. Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered. Please note: we are unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time.
